This
week’s TOTW award goes to the “distinguished” looking gentleman in a BMW
3-series coupé who was driving behind me on my commute to work. The driver and car caught my eye because of
its erratic road positioning - the driver seemed incapable of maintaining his
position in the lane, but was drifting off to one side and then to the other.
When
stationary at one of the roundabouts awaiting a space, I noticed that the
individual was shaving...

The
TOTW award goes to the chap in, sadly, another BMW. This one was the M3 convertible.
As I left Leeds en route to York, he was driving the car in an overly
aggressive manner - implying that he really, really wanted to
overtake. Then he dropped back and his
lane discipline became especially untoward.
He was on the ‘phone. After
being out-dragged up the steep dual carriageway, presumably because he was
either unable or unwilling to change gear as the speed built up, he ended his
call and then tailgated me on the approach to Harrogate.

There
were a few contenders for the TOTW prize, but the very attractive young lady in
a metallic silver Toyota Yaris wins it.
Seemingly enraged at having to descend Pool Bank at twenty miles per hour,
she overtook me, went around the next corner, then had to brake very heavily
because of stationary traffic.
Unfortunately for her, she ran into the back of a stationary Audi A4
Avant. The impact didn’t look
especially hard, but it was enough to break the Yaris’ radiator - because the
A4 was equipped with a tow ball. The
Audi driver then moved forward, taking with him most of the front bumper
arrangement of the Yaris...
Look
before you leap...
