The B1145

Kings Lynn to Norwich

The B1145 starts at Kings Lynn and winds it’s way to Norwich, via numerous 30 restricted villages, and some lovely scenery.

The good part about this is road is that whilst it can take you to Norwich, it can also take you from Norwich!

I’m not going to apologise for the above comment, either!

The B1145 is an ideal “escape” from the tedium of the A47. It takes an hour to get from Norwich to Kings Lynn using the B1145, and whilst it can take just forty five minutes using the A47, it can also take two hours.

There are some disadvantages to this road. One is that there are numerous junctions, and you do have to be careful of Norfokian drivers oblivious to the dangers of traffic actually reaching heady speeds in excess of forty miles an hour. Some of them just pull right out at ohmygosh distance.
