KITS2: TASP

Temperature Auxiliary Sensor Package

ollowing experimentation with the original KITS, work started on KITS2 in early 2003.  The projected completion date of the revised system is “before 2004,” but I cannot be any more specific because the very gracious chap helping me with the system is very busy at the moment!

The major difference between KITS and KITS2: TASP is that KITS was primarily concerned with measuring Kermit’s airbox temperature.  KITS2, so named because it uses the same airbox sensor, will add at least a coolant temperature sensor.  It may also add an oil temperature, and perhaps some other sensors too.

As time went on, I decided that a more elegant solution would be to use an OBD-II Scanner – so work was stopped on KITS2: TASP.
