DervMan’s Fuel Economy Sheet
The
Fuel Economy spreadsheet that you can download here
is actually much more than a simple MPG calculator.
The
spreadsheet does encompass the usual: the trip, litres and price per litre,
from which it will calculate the run miles per gallon figure for you and the
cost. Add in the date field, and complete when you purchased the car (or when
you start logging your fuel consumption) and it will calculate your average
annual mileage.
As you
add more and more data, so the top of the spreadsheet will update, showing the
running average (both mpg and litres / 100 km), the total number of
litres consumed, total mileage covered, number of days, and a whole host of
other useful (and some quite useless) data.
Use
the second tab, and you can enter in the cost of services, repairs, road fund
and insurance.
Finally,
use the third sheet to show the summarised costs of the car. These include
fuel, maintenance, insurance, road fund and depreciation (using a depreciation
model).
