Mechanical Specifications

2,171cc (132 ci), four cylinder, single overhead camshaft, sixteen valve, direct injection, turbocharged, intercooled unit with twin balancer shafts.  This engine is designated TiD by Saab.  Maximum power of 115 bhp (at 4,300 rpm) and 192 foot pounds of torque (from 1,900 rpm to 2,500 rpm) as standard.  The redline is set at 4,600 rpm and the governor at 5,000 rpm.
